Upcoming tax reform Bonaire – Dividends
The government has announced a change to the Dividend Tax (called ‘opbrengstbelasting’) and the Income Tax, which is expected to take effect on January 1, 2025. The tax rate on dividends for the Dividend Tax and the Income Tax will (in certain situations) increase from 5% to 7.5%, significantly impacting the cost of distributing dividends.
What does this mean for you?
If you are planning to distribute dividends from your company, it is advisable to do so before the end of this year to benefit from the current lower tax rate of 5%.
How can we assist?
Our team is here to assist you in managing your dividend distributions efficiently and in compliance with current regulations. We can handle all aspects of this process to ensure that your dividend distributions are completed before the new tax rate takes effect.
